“The higher we go, the better we shall hear the voice of Christ.” – Bl. Pier Giorgio Frassati
Our day will begin with Mass at 9am at St. Dominic’s Church (630 E St SW). St. Dominic’s is easily accessible by metro, but we will need a number of drivers to get to the hike. After breakfast we will head out to Sugarloaf Mountain near Frederick, MD for a day of upward mobility.
The trail is of “moderate difficulty” with a few challenging sections, but it will offer a number of beautiful views. The hike should take a few hours with a short break for lunch; we should be finishing the hike around 3pm. Leaving after the hike, you should arrive in DC at about 4pm. If you are interested, there will be a chance to visit Sugarloaf Winery from 3-5pm, arriving in DC around 6:30.
Hope to see you there! Friends are most welcome!
If A) you have a car and are willing to drive, or B) you are willing to help gather breakfast for the group, please let us know!
